Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 2026
This page explains, in plain language, what happens to data when you use InclinoMeter. The short version: your tilt measurements never leave your device.
Sensor data
When you press Start Measuring, your browser asks permission to share motion and orientation data (accelerometer and gyroscope readings) from your device. That data is read directly by JavaScript running in your browser and used only to draw the live pitch and roll display. It is never transmitted to our servers, never written to a database, and never shared with a third party. Closing the tab or navigating away discards it completely.
Local storage
We store one small preference — your selected language — in your browser's local storage, so the site remembers it on your next visit. This value stays on your device; we do not have access to it, and it contains nothing personally identifying.
Cookies & analytics
We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics (such as page-view counts) to understand which pages are useful and which aren't. This data is anonymized and is never combined with sensor readings or used to identify an individual visitor.
Contact form
If you use the contact form, the name, email address, and message you provide are used solely to respond to your inquiry. We don't add you to a mailing list or share this information with third parties.
Third-party links
Some pages link to other tools or resources we maintain or find useful. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy doesn't cover them.
Children's privacy
This site is a general-purpose measurement tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the site after a change means you accept the updated policy.
