About

A focused instrument, not another app

Last updated: August 2026

The idea for InclinoMeter came from a simple inconvenience: every time we found ourselves having to measure a slope in the workplace or in our homes, our options were either to use an inconvenient physical level or an application for mobile phones which required registration, subscription, and push notifications.

What we build

This website serves as a one-purpose utility: it takes data from your phone's sensors and displays a real-time tilt angle using a virtual spirit level. This is it. No registration, no data synchronization in the cloud, no advertisements taking up space where you would be reading numbers.

Why it's free

The application operates entirely in your browser via regular web APIs — there is no cost incurred per measurement by server-side operations, so there is no need to monetize it or require any form of authentication. We pay the bills via an occasional relevant link to other tools we offer, never by harvesting your data.

Who it's for

What it isn't

It is not a substitute for a calibrated metrology-grade measuring device. Smartphone sensors provide satisfactory results for construction, do-it-yourself and hobby purposes, but in case of precision measurements required for certification purposes (structural engineering approval, for instance), you should rely on a specialized tool.
